RULES AND REGULATIONS FOR PHYSIOTHERAPY STUDENTS

“The path of duty is the way to glory”. Discipline, an integral part of education, is of prime importance in the college. With a view to building an ideal academic atmosphere in the college premises, students are requested to strictly adhere to the rules and regulations given below:

  • Students should abide by the college regulations set forth in the calendar as well as those formulated from time to time by the Principal.
  • Students are expected to enter the college on time 9.30 am or before and leave the college 4.30 pm or later. Biometric attendance will be followed strictly. Latecomers will be considered absent on that day.
  • A six-day working schedule from Monday to Saturday is followed. Students should come in proper uniform in lectures and wear an apron during practical hours. Students will be permitted to come in decent informal wear only on Saturdays.
  • Students are expected to be present in the class well within time. No student shall enter or leave the classroom when the session is on without the permission of the teacher concerned.
  • At the time of admission, 50% of Tuition Fees and Hostel Fees should be paid, and the remaining 50% of Tuition Fees and 50% of Hostel Fees must be paid after 6 months without fail.
  • Scholarship students (MAHA DBT) should pay their fee within the appropriate period, and their fee will be refunded later.
  • The fee shall be paid on the date fixed in the college calendar.
  • Absence with or without leave from the college shall not be an excuse for non-payment of fees on the prescribed date.
  • A receipt signed by the accountant shall be given for every payment made, which the students shall preserve and produce whenever required by the Principal.
  • The names of defaulters of an installment will be published on the notice board immediately after the expiry date of the last opportunity fixed for payment of a fee.
  • If the fee and fines of an installment are not paid before the last opportunity given for payment, the student will not be permitted to write internal exams such as Primary, Terminal, and Preliminary Exams.
  • In the events of student seminars/project presentations, etc., it is compulsory that all students of the concerned class be present for the entire session.
  • Students can leave the campus during class hours only after getting permission from the Class Coordinator or Principal.
  • All leave applications (Regular & Medical) shall be submitted in time for sanction by the HOD and concerned teachers. Applications for medical leave shall be accompanied by valid medical certificates.
  • Students should always wear tidy, clean, and neat uniforms/formal shirts tucked into pants with a black belt and black shoes, opting for comfortable professional attire to the college. A professional dress will always catch attention and put a positive impression. Those who are in laboratories shall wear their respective lab coats.
  • Students should not wear jeans, men's earrings, kada, or bracelets in the college campus. Male students should maintain a clean-shaved appearance.
  • Students should not utilize the faculty rest room and washroom. All kinds of tattooing, body piercing, hair styling, etc., that goes against the existing social norms and could go against the spirit of college academic values will be referred to the disciplinary committee.
  • Students are expected to attend all college functions in college uniform unless otherwise specified. Students should wear their identity cards and keep them well displayed.
  • As per the Govt. order, only students who have a license and helmet will be permitted to park their motor vehicle in the allocated parking area.
  • Students are expected to maintain silence in the academic buildings to maintain decorum, and any deviant behavior such as hooting, whistling, loitering, etc., will be treated as an instance of indiscipline.
  • For independent study, students are expected to use the classrooms, library, or the demarcated areas of the academic building and shall not resort to sitting in staircases or circulation areas where they could interfere with free movement.
  • Students are encouraged to make use of the library, common computing facilities, and to involve in professional body activities or any program authorized by the college beyond class hours.
  • Access to academic buildings beyond the above timing and on holidays without written permission from the concerned HOD will be treated as a case of indiscipline.
  • Students are advised to utilize their mobile phone with the permission of the teacher for study purposes only during lecture hours.
  • Keep the campus neat and clean. Do not put any waste anywhere in the campus except in the waste baskets kept. Any violation of this shall invite disciplinary action from management.
  • Indifference to studies, non-submission of practical records and assignments in time, avoidance of tests and examinations conducted by the college, and discourtesy to establishment are strictly discouraged.
  • Coming to college in an intoxicated state, smoking within the college campus, damage to college property, sitting on the window sill or parapet, loitering in the corridors, crowding at the doors, using obscene and vulgar words against others, disrespect to teachers, indulging in malpractice during examinations, and moral delinquency are serious offenses and liable to punishment.
  • No student is allowed to play for any team other than the college ones without the written consent of the Principal.
  • No excursion unrelated to study requirements shall be conducted by the college.
  • Students are prohibited from practicing religious worship during college hours consistently.
  • Students are not supposed to celebrate any kind of Birthday Party, Farewell Party, etc., in college premises during college working hours.
  • Students are warned not to involve in ragging and eve-teasing. Both are very serious offenses.
  • Violation of the rules and regulations of the college will attract serious penal action.
  • Students should maintain a high standard of decency and decorum both inside and outside the campus.
