CODE OF CONDUCT FOR TEACHERS
- Teachers are expected to enter the college on time 9.00 am or before and leave the college 5.00 pm or later. Biometric attendance will be followed strictly. Signing the muster daily with in and out time is compulsory.
- A six day working schedule from Monday to Saturday is followed. Teachers are expected to be present in the class 10 minutes well-within time and to avoid standing and chatting with students and others on corridor unnecessarily, exemption in external lecture on Sunday.
- No teacher shall leave the class room or practical session when the session is going on without the permission of the Principal concerned.
- Teacher should always wear tidy, clean, and neat, comfortable formal clothes. A professional dress will always catch attention and put a positive impression. Teacher should consider wearing cotton fabrics and well-customized ones that would not be too tight to affect your posture or too loose to make you look sluggish.
- Male teachers should avoid wearing fancy/men’s earrings, kada, bracelets in the college campus. Male teachers should maintain clean shaved. Female teachers should tie their hairs when they are in campus.
- Teachers are supposed to complete their work in time assigned by the Head of the department. Teachers shall produce good results in the subject handled by them that will be accountable for their performance appraisal.
- Teacher should maintain decorum both inside and outside the classroom and set a good example to the students. Teacher should carry out other academic, co-curricular and organizational activities that may be assigned to them from time to time.
- Teachers should seek to make professional growth continuous through study and research. Teachers are supposed to free and frank opinion by participation at professional meetings, seminars, conferences etc. towards the contribution of knowledge
- Co-operate and assist in carrying out functions relating to the educational responsibilities of the college such as: NAAC work, assisting in appraising applications for admission, advising and counselling students as well as assisting the conduct of college examinations, including supervision, invigilation and evaluation.
- Consumption of alcohol, intoxicants/psychotropic substances in any form or smoking or using chewing gum, pan masala etc. are strictly prohibited inside the college premises. If such activities are observed they are liable for strict disciplinary action.
